Hey kids, it’s Christmas time again. You know what that means. Time to dig out your favorite Christmas Fart CD. May I recommend a Farting Christmas by Santa’s Farting Elves. Yes, I produced this. Yes, I think it’s funny. No, I do not think it is offensive to the Christmas spirit. Ok, that should pre-empt most of the hate mail.
Available on Itunes, and also on Amazon.com for Mp3 download or physical CD at:
I read this article on CNN.com that the local Shanghai dialect of Wu Chinese is disappearing and the government is trying to find native speakers in order to preserve the language, promote it and study it.

November 2010 my cousin Karl and I took a two week vacation through Thailand and Cambodia. This is the second video I’ve ever made and did it on Imovie with a Mac. It was very fun to work on. After doing a few more on Imovie I plan on jumping into Final Cut and learning how to edit video in that. I have Final Cut Express to start. If you have any video tips or websites with tutorials that would be much appreciated.

And if you read this and think “OMG, that’s so obvious and marshmallow” – well, hey – just move on.

Merry Christmas 2010 from Macau, China. It’s mid-November and they are already putting up the Christmas trees and decorations around here so it’s time to dig out some of my Christmas music.
A Chinese friend of mine came up with a mild tongue twister: Taking a taxi to Texas to pay taxes. I thought it was something from an English book like “Sally Sells Seashells by the Seashore”. But they said they made it up. I googled it and don’t see it anywhere on the web. I guess I’m a geek. I think it’s so cool that it’s original.
So play a stupid game with me and let’s see how much we can expand on it. The first version was “taxi to Texas”, then someone added “to pay taxes” and someone added “taking” so we have:

Do you need a college education to be a music producer?
I really can’t say there’s a “right” answer to this question. I am addressing this question partly because of very heated comments and opinions on music education schools in my blog post here:
