Ideas from an Apple Tree

apple-tree.gifThis is an apple tree in my backyard. The apples have fallen from it over the Summer and now in the Fall only a few apples remain. I get in trouble because I don’t pick the apples up and throw them away. I just can’t make myself do it. The apples on the ground are beautiful and I love to look at them. Even with a couple worm holes the color is still beautiful.

And that is the start of a wonderful and exciting magical children’s adventure…….I’ll post in this section to document progress.

  1. Lol, are you open to a trade? I’ll swap you an apple press (to make
homemade cider) for that mini-greenhouse/plant starter.

And, oh the smile your eye for the artistic brought me…my house is
filled with men who only see apple pie!

  2. I have a friend with an orchard who never uses the apples on the ground…he believes they should be left for the deer and raccoons so they can have good fruit to enjoy. The ones my friend uses are picked from the tree.

I like that you are like me — and don’t like to throw anything away.

    om

  3. i don’t understand how can you let the apples felt down but without doing anything. You think it’s a beautiful scene? do the THIRD WORLD PEOPLE think it’s beautiful too while they don’t have enough food for their family every day?
in Vietnam, we have to pay 2$ for 1 kg apples like that (1 kg is about 2 pounds). So i can not feel comfort when i watch your photograph.
