Was disappointed to see that former Tennessee Senator Fred Thompson had withdrawn from the Presidential race this
morning, issuing this statement:

“Today, I have withdrawn my candidacy for President of the United States. I hope that my country and my party have
benefited from our having made this effort."

An interesting man, with many years of experience; am sorry to see him go, but think his participation has
benefited the process, and hope he remembers his run with
pleasure and satisfaction.

(Watching from a comfortable Canadian seat...)

Interestingly, 6'-6" Fred Thompson is amply and ably qualified for the position, having served in numerous political positions for decades.

Have not heard or read much in the Canadian press regarding Obama,
and I regard Hilary as the person best suited to win an Oscar for her
acting skills, so - this armchair critic would cast her vote for the man
who stands tall enough and speaks deeply enough and possesses enough
experience to scare the beetle-juice out of the enemy...besides, you have
to give him an extra point on the score-card for having once been linked
to the beautiful, talented and much younger country-singer Lori Morgan...
now that's charisma!
