I spent several hours and pulling out a few hairs trying to figure out why HP 2355 driver wouldn’t install using the orginal HP PSC 2355 disk software and also tried the HP website software. So I decided to call HP support center hoping they would help correct this issue. HP support center transfered me 5 times before I finally spoke to the PSC 2355 printer support. That itself took 30 minutes. After spending any hour on the phone with HP support asking be to do the very samething I did before calling them. Still couldn’t get the PSC 2355 driver installed unknown driver. Now they said I need to upgrade my printer and sorry they couldn’t help resolve my issue. I came across this website and did extactly what step to take and behold the PSC 2355 drive was installed and printer works great. WOW. Thanks for the information and saved me a few $$$$’s as well. I like HP product’s but hate when I have to call for support. Thanks again.

I purchased an HP Deskjet 3050A series all-in-one and I’ve tried all the solutions I can find INCLUDING the one you have listed here. I have Windows Vista and the solution you provided does not work at all. I’ve spent hours on the phone with HP. I’ve emailed Microsoft numerous times. I’ve emailed every PC helpdesk that I can find. I need help on this as I’m a grad student and I really can’t afford this problem right now.

my hp printer k209a is having problem with paper feeding . printer rollers keep on moving but they never take in the paper . I have got it repaired (That guy changed the whole take up unit inside) but the problem reappeared after few days . What to do

The installation wizard showing that usb connection was sucessfully completed and device driver was sucessfully installed .

I am facing the same problem but slightly different ,I have purchased a new Hp 1050 j410a all in one printer .After the installation the scanning was good ,it photocopier was good but the it was not printing any pphotos when i try to print them feom my photo gallery .However In the HP printer window under the maintainence task it was printing the alingnment page .I have done the option no 1 that is stated first on this page ,i.e by doing msconfig and hide all microsoft products ,and by disabling TSR but the problem remains the same .I have uninstall it about 10 times and reinstall it .Please if somebody help me on this

Sometimes my laptop loses the wireless connection to the wireless print server. If that happens, hold the reset button for about 5 seconds and release. The printer will print a settings report including the IP address. Edit the Printer properties and update the IP address if it changed.

I am having a similiar problem with my newly bought “HP Photosmart Pls B209a” multi-function printer.

The problem I am having is that I cant enven install the software. The problem is descibed by HP as “Installation stalls at step one of four”, see the link below.

This is the “solution(s)” HP has provided to the problem:

Of course, the “solution” doesn’t work. As you can see, HP is quite aware of the problem but instead of offering a definitive solution, what they have offered are some trial and error procedures that are to be executed by the end-user.

I have executed ALL the proceudres and still no success in installing the software.

Does anyone out there have any other solutions or ideas….anything, I would really appreciate it.
