Truly J.S. Bach is both an influential musician and composer. Musicians from all genres (from classical to popular music) learn and get inspiration from him. Chopin&#039;s 24 Preludes were based on Bach&#039;s Well-Tempered Clavier, and there are many more examples in classical music for sure. 

There were also a lot of Bach rewritings and recontextualisations in other genres too. Dan Tepfer performed and improvised over the Goldberg Variations, Bachspace combined the music of Bach with electronic textures, just to name a few.
