In the production of my “PAN” musical, we approached Nana without a headpiece. We used dog ears and makeup for the nose so the head was open while wearing a doggy suit. This was partly because in my PAN musical Nana has some vocal parts and had to wear a headset mic. Also because one of the directors wanted the child playing Nana to have an open face so they could act the various emotions of Nana vs. being hidden behind the headpiece.

I am working on an elementary school production of Peter Pan. Don’t let the fact that it is elementary school make you think that everyone doesn’t go all out. They are extremely talented. I say that not even having a child in the production. Anyway, I’m in charge of making “Nana”. I am very stumped with her head… Can you direct me to anything (books, youtube videos, or directions) that will help me make the best Nana I could?

Your set and the majority of your costumes were great but I was the Pan! and honestly theres really no comparison between your Pan and me.
