My other computer had Microsoft Office and Microsoft Word installed. Not wanting to waste an installation of office on my laptop; I wanted a conversion program to get my documents back to simple .txt format to read with Microsoft Text.<\/p>\n<p>I found a free program from download.com hidden in with others that ran up to $499.00. And the programs that give you a free trial, I found they only let you convert part of the document, not the whole thing.<\/p>\n<p>So try out Rtf2txt 2 by Dmitri Spitsyn.
