Artists for Cirque Du Soleil’s ZAIA show got their official Cirque bathrobes yesterday. The photos on this post are not of the actual bathrobe – these are pictures a friend sent me making fun of how much I like my bathrobe. And I do love my Cirque bathrobe! It’s heavy and black with a hood and has a gigantic CDS logo in full color on the back. With the hood we all look like Obi Won Kenobi or Sylvester Stallone in Rocky.

A Cirque Birthday
It’s my birthday today (May 27 – a day ahead in China) which is not interesting in itself, but two kind of funny things:
Did you know you can send greeting cards from the Cirque Du Soleil website? A friend sent me this and I thought it was awesome: Cirque Du Soleil Conrad Birthday Card.
And if you wonder where I get my sense of humor from (most call it a curse…), my Mother played a good birthday trick on me. She had everyone and their brother send me a birthday message. So today (I’m a day ahead of the West because I’m living in China) I got swamped with birthday greeting emails. That was very fun.
And you know what I get to do on my birthday? Rehearse the newest Cirque Du Soleil show in their new theater. And THAT is the best birthday present of all!
FYI, the software WordPress is 5 years old on May 27.
The Sands Venetian Macau
Some photos of the Sands Venetian in Macau (Macao) China where I am working with Cirque Du Soleil. I think this is currently the second largest building in the world and it’s truly massive. You can easily get lost roaming the shops on the upper floors.
Arriving in Macau
(Here should be some really cool pictures of everyone at the Montreal Airport yelling “Macau! Macau”. But I was too tired to take them.) Welcome to my most mundane blog post EV-er…
On March 23, 2008 the Cirque Du Soleil artists for “Macau I Cosmos” flew from Montreal, Canada to Hong Kong for relocation. Here’s an uneventful post about our initial relocation. The photos are with my old camera from the 1800’s, they are horrible, and none of them are the least bit interesting.
Delirium Closes
The Cirque Du Soleil show Delirium’s last performance was April 20, 2008 in London. At this time Cirque du Soleil and Live Nation will not pursue further touring options.
Congrats to all involved with the show for the last two years and best of luck moving forward!
