Congratulations to the cast and crew of Cirque Du Soleil’s Mystere on their 7000th performance September 15, 2008. This was the first Cirque Du Soleil show I ever saw performed live – and it was an inspiring and jaw dropping experience. Go get ’em!

Avril Lavigne stopped by and saw our ZAIA show today. She’s doing a concert down the hall Friday night as part of her “Best Damn Tour” show. She stopped downstairs in our green room after the show to say hi and get photo ops with the Cirque Du Soleil ZAIA cast.

ZAIA on Hong Kong TV September 13, 2008
ZAIA will be on television in Hong Kong Saturday September 13, 2008. A programme named “太陽劇團特約： 探索 ZAIA 的夢想世界†(translated as Cirque du Soleil presents “Exploring the ZAIA journeyâ€) will be on TVB Jade, a Cantonese TV channel with highest audience in Hong Kong.  The programme will feature interviews with our Writer & Director Gilles Maheu, Make-up Designer Nathalie Gagné and some of the artists including ZAIA (Kaleen). It will also include show footage and some location shots here at the Venetian. However the program will be in Cantonese, for those who do not understand the language, I do hope that you enjoy the programme visually.

It’s finally here – our world premiere of ZAIA, Cirque Du Soleil’s new show at the Venetian in Macau (SAR) China on August 28, 2008.
It was over a year and a half ago that Cirque said to me “Would you be interested in Macau?” – I said yes because I prefer to always keep as many doors open as possible, but I had no idea what Macau even was. Then about a year ago that they officially signed me onboard for the gig.

The government-controlled developer of palm-shaped islands off Dubai’s coast and a related investment arm said Wednesday they have bought a 20 percent stake in international circus touring company Cirque du Soleil.
Property developer Nakheel and investment company Istithmar World Capital did not say how much they paid for their share of the group, which began performing in Quebec nearly a quarter century ago and is today a mainstay of theaters in Las Vegas and the Far East.
The agreement keeps control of the Montreal-based entertainment company in the hands of founder Guy Laliberte, putting to rest for now speculation that the troupe would be sold outright.
