How to Embed YouTube.com Videos in WordPress

Find out how to type just ONE LETTER and get your favorite YouTube videos embedded into your WordPress blog. And no, you don’t even have to turn off the rich text editing feature (who wants to do that anyway?).

I’ve always been a little envious of all the bloggers that have YouTube videos embedded in their blogs. I don’t like spending a lot of time with plugins and don’t have a passion for typing in tons of code when I’m writing. I just want to write.

So I’ve been using the YouTube.com feature to send videos to my blog, but then I can’t write what I want along with it. And it disappears when it goes into archives. AND nobody can find it.

What if I told you that you could embed a video in wordpress by typing just one letter? It’s true. Checkout the Smart YouTube Plugin by Vladimir Prelovac. You just upload it into your plugins, and then when you type a link, instead of just “http://” you add a “v”, or just “httpv://”

It’s THAT simple. In fact, I’ll use it now and share with you my all time favorite YouTube video: Charlie the Unicorn. Stay with it to the end, it may get a little tedious half way through.

And on a side note, this is my favorite video to turn up the speakers really loud, click play and then walk away from the computer into the other room. Drives people crazy.
