CNN reports that police in Harwich, Massachusett received a report of a piano in the middle of the woods. A woman discovered it at the end of a dirt trail. The piano is in tune, in fine working order and includes a bench placed in front of the piano as if someone was about to play.

A compiling of information about Boracay Island in the Philippines. Generally regarded as one of the top ten beaches in the world. When I ask a Filippina about where to go in the Philippines for a vacation – they almost always say “BOROCAY!”. Their eyes light up and they are very excited, and that gives me a hint that Boracay is fantastic vacation destination. Read on for more detailed info.
I had a situation where I installed a legal paid version of a software program (Sibelius 4) but it said it would not run; that I had to run it as “administrator” rights. Carnegie Mellon Professor Randy Pausch (Oct. 23, 1960 – July 25, 2008) gave his last lecture at the university Sept. 18, 2007, before a packed McConomy Auditorium. In his moving presentation, “Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams,” Pausch talked about his lessons learned and gave advice to students on how to achieve their own career and personal goals.
At the time of this lecture in September 2007, Randy had been given six months to live. He died in July 2008. The “last lecture” is a type of presentation professors give from a viewpoint as if it is the last lecture they could ever give. What would they say? what would you say?

Incidentally, in Randy’s famous lecture here he refers to Cirque Du Soleil. Is this lecture a big deal? Well, it has almost 8 million views on YouTube…

An interesting story today from the Motley Fool talks about China’s announcement of a 4-trillion-yuan ($586 Billion US) stimulus package. It says China has supported a $20 billion dollar monthly trade deficit with the US for many years and has artificially depreciated the value of the Yuan to keep it’s export relationships strong.

A film by Davy McGuire 2008 showing the cast of Zaia from training in Montreal to opening in Macau at the Venetian Casino. The Zaia artists saw this for the first time in the green room at the Cirque Du Soleil Zaia Theater in Macau in October 2008.
At 1:19 there’s a photo of me outside in the snow in Montreal with other band members. I like this video a lot – it captures a little of the crazy energy and personalities working on our show.
Thanks for making the video Davy!
