I received this card for my birthday and thought it was a great musician birthday card.
Netgear Router Setup on Mac
Add this to my list of stupid tech problems that wasted my time. This one about SIX hours.
The Netgear router comes with an installation CD for PC only. If installing on a Mac you need to do it manually. I even tried using my VMFusion side with Microsoft XP to install but would not work.
The secret? Clear the cache on your Safari browser! For me it was that simple. Then I was able to connect directly to the router for setup. I hope this helps someone else save many hours.
Calculate Your God Delusion Index
httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jCX0JJ16dFM
Calculate your God Delusion index. The “God Delusion” is a book by Richard Dawkins published around 2007 (I think). I read it. This video was posted on one of my bible discussion forums. I was interested to note that my answers to the questions in the video were radically different than they would have been five years ago.
And this comment from the original poster of the video: A STUPID video that I found — a quiz that supposedly measures how deluded by religion you are. I’m glad this hateful moron won’t be spending the next trillion years in heaven with Jesus and me!
Would be interested in your thoughts on this video and it’s questions…

Personal Evolution on the Language of Music
This is a thought on the language of music and how my personal vocabulary has changed since working with Cirque and working in China.
I don’t know if this would qualify as a “paradigm shift”, but I had an eye opener today. I had a friend send me a video of a music performance. It’s a group that plays a style of music I used to play. And when I watched it, it was like a foreign language to me. Like something distant I recognized just faintly. And this was a style of music I played for many years.

The UK’s premier beatboxers performing live at the Google offices in London. If you’re pressed for time, watch the first minute then go up to the last three minutes or so. Good stuff.
Every Day You Love Me
httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQPCfORZ5zI
My new favorite song. I think I’ve heard it a hundred times in the last year or so. It’s a little cheezy, but I like it.
I don’t know but I believe, that some things were meant to be. And that you make a better me, everyday I love you.
….and you’ll never really live until you’ve loved with all your heart and soul.
Tulips from Skagit County

I was sent these photos of tulip season in Skagit County, Washington (USA). I don’t know if it was the sender’s intention, but the photos sure make me homesick for the Pacific Northwest of the US. This is a normal spring view in Mount Vernon, WA. A view that even locals know better than to take for granted. Photos by Gary Brown, a great supporter of the arts in Skagit County.
Philippine Vacation 2009 – Palawan

A friend and I have picked the Philippines as our next vacation destination. We’ve decided on the Palawan island chain and with a one day layover in Manila. We were going to Boracai, but decided to go South to Palawan for hopefully a less touristy experience. Boracai is supposed to be a great party area, but Palawan is said to be more pristine and the most beautiful landscape.
